Tips & Tricks / How to's

$1.50 leather passenger strap.
From: Brian Murray

I hate the stock/surprisingly heavy passenger grab rail, but needed something that could hold hold my lock w/ quick access, and wouldn't interfere with my passenger seat. So here's my suggestion for a lowkey leather passenger strap. I headed down to my local leather supply shop and picked up a scrap for $1.50, though an old belt would work just as well.

All you need to do is drill a hole in the leather and mount to the original passenger rail bolts along with a washer or two. Make a rough measure and drill a hole in the other side (easier than hole punch). Ta Da! Lightweight, exceptionally stylish lock holder/passenger strap. see pic.

Cheers,
Brian
